District 9 rated R!

Color me surprised! While the recently announced R rating for THE FINAL DESTINATION was a given (check that out HERE), the MPAA dropped another R rated bomb this week on DISTRICT 9, the upcoming alien invasion movie from producer Peter Jackson!

While I thought DISTRICT 9 had PG-13 written all over it, I’m here to tell you that’s not the case. The film has been rated R by the MPAA for bloody violence and pervasive language! Nice!

August is shaping to be one of the most R rated filled genre months of the year. Let’s see… INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, THE FINAL DESTINATION, and HALLOWEEN 2, one weekend after another. Simply amazing.

So while other alien movies are going the kiddie friendly route, it appears that DISTRICT 9 is going the bloody violent route and I think that’s just fan-f*cking-tastic! Can’t wait!
