AMC's Preacher, based upon the comic series of the same name created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, had all the ingredients it needed to turn into something very special, and although there were certainly numerous highlights to be found in the series' first season, I found it to be a bit of a disappointment. As a result, I haven't caught any of the second season of Preacher, but based on this wacky mid-season trailer which debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, I may need to remedy that, if only for the demented glory which is Herr Starr (Pip Torrens).

The second season of Preacher finds Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), his ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga), and Irish vampire Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) heading out on a road trip to find god, and in the process end up in a battle between heaven and hell.
Preacher airs on AMC on Mondays.
