Let it be known that the sun is shining down on FX's ATLANTA this afternoon, as the network has announced an early fourth-season renewal for the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning comedy series from creator Donald Glover. The good word comes just as production for the show's third season is scheduled to begin next spring. Now that a fourth season has been ordered, the cast and crew will ready themselves for both chapters of the hip-hop-oriented drama, with each season comprised of eight episodes a piece.

For the second season of ATLANTA, Donald Glover's Earnest "Earn" Marks continues his mission to get his cousin's hip-hop career up and running. Meanwhile, Brian Tyree Henry's Alfred Miles digs deep into his understanding of both his life at home as well as on the mean streets. Starring alongside the two aforementioned actors are Lakeith Stanfield as Darius, Alfred's partner-in-crime, and DEADPOOL 2's Zazie Beetz, as Van, Earn's best friend and the mother of his child. As the second season continues to teach harsh lessons to the group, it's those experiences that help them to better understand the game, and how to play to win.
