This week we’ve seen all sorts of new shite that’s headed for the Sundance Film Festival. First, we saw more of THE BROKEN, then a few from TIME CRIMES, and today… it’s DONKEY PUNCH!
While I’m not totally privy to what DONKEY PUNCH was about, it didn’t take long to figure this out: After meeting at a nightclub in a Mediterranean resort, seven young adults decide to continue partying aboard a luxury yacht in the middle of the ocean. But when one of them dies in a freak accident the others argue about what to do, leading to a ruthless fight for survival.
A booze cruise gone totally wrong? Starring the lovely Nichola Burley (pictured above), and directed by Oliver Blackburn (pictured below)? Well, color me intrigued! Seriously, this sounds like a bowl of fun – and then some!
I’m still curious about where the hell the title comes from, but I’m sure it’s either this crazy liquor filled punch that really f*cks ya up (and has you falling off a boat to your death), or it’s referring to a serious punch to the face that everyone on board gets… before they die!!! Couldn’t tell ya either way, but I’m leaning towards the booze. Or maybe it’s the name of the yacht. Hey, I’ve heard of worse names!
