“Donny and Marie,” a variety show starring Donny and Marie Osmond, was admittedly before my time. But it was at its most popular in 1977 when STAR WARS was released. So in true 70s variety show fashion “Donny and Marie” did an entire STAR WARS episode that featured disco-inspired songs like “Lost in Space,” dancing stormtroopers and celebrity cameos that include Redd Foxx as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kris Kristofferson as Han Solo, and Paul Lynde as Grand Moff Tarkin. To say anymore would rob you of experiencing this on your own so I suggest you just block out a few minutes and check it out for yourself…
