Yesterday Eric showed you all the new trailer for DOOMSDAY. I have to agree with him 100% that DOOMSDAY looks like, at least, 20 other films out there. From JURASSIC PARK to 28 WEEKS LATER, so many spots in that trailer can be compared to other flicks… mind you though… that might be a good thing?
The idea of all these different bits tying together is kind of intriguing, plus like Eric mentioned, the cast is looking good. Rhona Mitra (pictured), Malcolm McDowell, Bob Hoskins, Alexander Siddig, and David O’Hara. Plus, the flick looks like balls out fun. Nothing wrong with that. Plus, it’s wrriten and directed by Neil Marshall (THE DESCENT). Oh, and Rhona Mitra. Think I mentioned her though.

The synopsis for DOOMSDAY reads: A lethal virus spreads throughout a major country and kills hundreds of thousands. To contain the newly identified Reaper, the authorities brutally quarantine the country as it succumbs to fear and chaos. The literal walling-off works for three decades–until Reaper violently resurfaces in a major city. An elite group of specialists, including Eden Sinclair, is urgently dispatched into the still-quarantined country to retrieve a cure by any means necessary. Shut off from the rest of the world, the unit must battle through a landscape that has become a waking nightmare. It hits theaters March 14.
