The cool cats over at Fox were kind enough to drop us an email today with two new one sheets for their remake of THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL. Well one’s new… the other is a revamped version of the first teaser released. Go ahead and scope those out above and below.
I’m digging these one sheets so far, easy on the eyes and seem to be interesting enough. I’m sure the one with the beam will have fans of the original buzzing. Truth be told, I’ve never been interested in THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL. Just never caught my eye. So I’m hoping this remake is able to catch my interest in the coming months in anticipation of it’s December 12 release date.
The flick is about an alien visitor and his giant robot counterpart who visit Earth. That’s the simple version. The remake is directed by Scott Derrickson with a script from David Scarpa. It stars Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly (below), Jon Hamm, John Cleese, Kathy Bates, and Jaden Smith.
