Paramount has hired another relative newcomer to write its DUNE adaptation.
Josh Zetumer was the first scribe on board, when Peter Berg was attached to the project. Now it’s Chase Palmer who has taken over the scribbling duties for director Pierre Morel. Not unlike Zutemer, Palmer has no substantial credits to his name, although there are a bunch of his scripts in development at various studios. Among them are the Hitchcockian thriller NUMBER 13, which is quite literally Hitchcockian, in that the main character is Alfred Hitchcock himself. (The director finds himself embroiled in a mystery or something – read our article about it from back in 2007 HERE.)
DUNE is being produced by Kevin Misher and Richard Rubinstein – whose name should be recognizable to horror fans, as he was George Romero’s longtime partner-in-crime.
