Interesting. I’ll give it to Hollywood that they do find creative ways to get their properties for the cheapest way possbile when they want to. For instance, Asian horror is hot – thus the price of existing properties for remakes keeps going up. What to do, what to do?
Aha, buy an original Asian horror script!
And that brings us to TOKYO GHOST STORY. Written by Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon. The premise concerns a Japanese myth about a Yurei, or the ghost of a jilted lover who commits suicide but returns to lead the offending lover to destruction and/or death.
Kinda FATAL ATTRACTION meets GHOST. I have to admit the premise sounds cool, so here’s hoping it’s a better movie than most of the remakes that have been assaulting our shores.
