DEXTER: THE SECOND SEASON – August 19th
I have friends who swear by this show. Apparently, even though it revolves around a killer of serial killers and has horror written all over, peeps of all walks of life enjoy the hell outta it and that’s just fine and dandy with me. I actually really dig the concept, and let’s face it–this dude covered in blood splatter makes a pretty damn good cover. Actually, that may be the coolest thing of all–very AMERICAN PSYCHO-esque. The second season. Don’t just look at it. Own it.
The Goods:
THE KILLING GENE aka WAZ – August 12th
WAZ must have been too wussy of a title, so Dimension Extreme went with a title that screams hard core, that screams… cookie-cuter, generic horror. THE KILLING GENE? Weaksauce. And speaking of weaksauce, what’s up with this cover? It’s craptacular in every sense of the word. Color me disappointed, but I expect better coming from Dimension–this may be their first truly suck-ass cover art yet!
The Goods:
IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN – September 2nd
Halloween is awesome, and nothing screams Halloween memories like this Charlie Brown special. Yes, it’s a cartoon. Yes, it’s for kids. But damnit, it’s about Halloween, and truth be told, it may have shaped and formed my love for the holiday as a toddler, so I gotta give it some respect–and so should you.
The Goods:
X-FILES REVELATIONS –July 8th – Because this should get you in the X-FILES mindset just in time for the movie to hit theaters.
MADAME O –July 29th – Because this chick is freakin’ me out–I don’t even want to know what she’s planning on doing with that scalpel.
HAIR EXTENSIONS – July 29th – Because I always knew something was ‘wrong’ with hair extensions… and now I have proof!
