CARNIVOROUS – May 26th
A giant snake and DMX–who’s your money on? I’m thinking DMX, because he’s so hardcore, and the guy definitely has street cred for being such a badass. Then again, if Ice Cube taught us anything from ANACONDAS, it was no matter what hood you grew up in, or how hardcore your rapping skills are, they ain’t shit compared to the carnivorous instincts of a giant man-eating snake. But, wait, seriously… DMX?
The Goods:
SIMON SAYS – June 23rd
I’ve been tracking SIMON SAYS for awhile now, so color me excited to see this sucker is finally being released (albeit straight to DVD). Crispin Glover is the perfect serial slasher killer (just look at creepy he looks on the cover alone!), and I can’t wait to see hottie Blake Lively in something other than GOSSIP GIRL. Yes, yes, I’m totally addicted to GOSSIP GIRL and I’m not afraid to say it… but not too loud. Anyway, Glover stalks and kills and somehow that makes everything right in the world… bring it!
The Goods:
THE CELL 2 – June 16th
Is it me, or is it about 5 years too late for this sequel to even matter? I really dug THE CELL, but do I have any shred of interest in the STD sequel? No. Is it THE CELL 2 or THE CELL SQUARED? I can’t even tell. All I know is that no J-Lo, no movie. God, I hate myself for saying that, but it’s true. Then again, the concept here could work if played out the right way, so maybe I shouldn’t write this off just yet. Or maybe I should.
The Goods:
JAWS –May 24th – Because you don’t own 6 different versions of this movie already!
TREMORS – May 24th – Because Kevin Bacon will make you believe that giant cock-worms in the desert really do exist!
LEGEND – May 24th – Because it’s Tom Cruise against the Devil, pre-Scientology!
