FOREVER KNIGHT – SEASON 3 – October 3rd
The final season of Knight should have some of yall jumping up and down, unless you’re like me and didn’t even know there was a series, let alone two previous seasons of the show on DVD. Premise sounds cool enough, as vampires that team up with the police department always seem to be class acts. I will say one thing, that dude on the bottom right is down right scary looking- in a transvestite kind of way.
The Goods:
GLASS HOUSE: THE GOOD MOTHER – October 3rd
Why why why why why? I mean, really now- why? This looks even worse than its predecessor, and that’s saying a lot! At least that one had Leelee Sobieski in it and who do we have hear? Angie Harmon? Who the hell is that? I know, I know… exactly. Great movie to cry yourself to sleep after feeling sorry for yourself for being such a loser. Worse than suicide? Maybe.
The Goods:
Lucky McKee’s tale of some girl on girl action turned bloody murder is finally seeing the light of day. Did I mention girl on girl? Did I mention Bruce Campbell and his impressive chin? Did I mention that it’s lame this puppy hasn’t been released yet? Yes, yes and yes. Sweet features, boring cover art, let’s just hope it receives some love and get that undying respect that cult classics deserve.
The Goods:
JU-ON 2 – October 10th
Funny how this is hitting the ol’ DVD stands around the same time as THE GRUDGE 2 hits theaters, the original Japanese horror flick is aiming to make a buck and scare the bejesus out of everyone and their grandmothers too. While there are hardly any extras, it’s good to have this puppy on DVD, and any chance to grow more interest in the Japanese horror scene is fine by me. And hey, at least it’s not dubbed!
The Goods:
MY DEAD GIRLFRIEND – October 24th
Not to be confused as a sequel to MY BOYFRIEND’S BACK, this is the never ending story of accidentally killing your girlfriend, bringing her back from the dead and then once she’s back… she’s a zombie. I hate when that happens, yo! Think DEAD ALIVE meets THE NOTEBOOK… or something like that.
The Goods:
FEAST – October 17th – Because it’s finally out on DVD less than one month after its theatrical release.
BODY DOUBLE: SE– October 3rd – Because it stars Melanie Griffith. As a porn star. Named Holly Body.
SUPERMAN II: THE RICHARD DONNER CUT – November 28h – Because when it was originally released, Superman was robbed!
