Robocop (CE) – August 21

The one thing that I remember most about seeing ROBOCOP for the first time was the guy who got dipped in acid and then hit by a car and liquified upon

impact. I remember sitting there with my little hair all mussed up, eating my dumb cereal and going, “cool.” What a goof. The flick will be shown in

    The Host – July 24

One flick I’m really looking forward to is THE HOST, a Korean monster movie that’s had some pretty hot reviews so far (read our very own Arrow’s review HERE). Quick poll: What was the last really great monster flick? There will be a single

disc and double disc edition. Director audio commentary and deleted scenes will be on the single disc and will also be included on the double disc edition.

Oh, and if you’ve already seen THE HOST, strike back below.

    Double Disc:

    • Making of The Host featurette, a Designing the Creature featurette, storyboards, a Puppet Animatronix featurette, a Memories of the Sewer featurette,

and a gag reel. Completing the package will be a Film Departments featurette, casting tapes, features on training the actors, and more

Land of the Giants Set – July 24

Not entirely sure what LAND OF THE GIANTS was, but I thought this was a pretty cool looking box set. This is the LAND OF THE GIANTS Complete Series that

aired between 1968-1979 in Limited edition with 51 classic episodes over nine-discs. Features include the unaired pilot, bonus interviews with stars Gary

Conway, Don Marshall, Stefan Arngrim, Don Matheson, Deanna Lund and producer Irwin Allen, a still gallery featuring merchandise from the show, publicity

photos, episodic photos, a Deanna Lund gallery and the original parody from MAD Magazine. The set also includes a full-colour booklet with cast interviews

and photos, a collectible Spindrift keychain, iron-on crew patch, reproduction of the first comic book, and trading cards. All this in nifty wooden cage

    themed directly from the show.

Blade Runner Box Set – ???

The BLADE RUNNER Ridley Scott cut is something I’m asked about at least once a week, and now those people are completely jealous of our Australian friends

who get this bad f*cking ass BLADE RUNNER BOX SET. Just look at that package below. Wow, I feel a bit insecure just writing that. Anyway, for the Aussies

Aussies Aussies, they get this very cool looking set, but a release date hasn’t been given. Neener neener.
