DVD details for Devin McGinn’s The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu

As previously reported, Outlaw Films’ THE LAST LOVECRAFT: RELIC OF CTHULHU will hit DVD on February 15th via MPI’s Dark Sky banner. The cover art can be found to the right, and now we have the special features as well:

The horror/comedy is directed by Henry Saine and written by Devin McGinn, who stars alongside Kyle Davis (FRIDAY THE 13TH) and Barak Hardley. It is described as part road movie, part buddy movie in vein of THE HANGOVER, along with a creepy tribute to Lovecraft. Here is the plot:

Bored office drone Jeff is informed by a mysterious elderly professor that he is the last living descendant of revered author H.P. Lovecraft. Jeff is thus the only person who can prevent a race of evil creatures from wreaking havoc. The mild-mannered Jeff must protect an ancient relic and prevent it from falling into the clutches of the monsters, which would bring about the release of all-powerful evil known as Cthulhu. Jeff enlists the aid of his co-worker, Charlie, and a husky Lovecraft aficionado, Paul, and together they put their slacker lives on hold to embark on an icky and hilarious mission to save the world. Along the way, they get some help from an a sea captain with a fish-boy son – and discover that Lovecraft’s horrific monsters are far from fictional.
