The third season of Stranger Things won't be hitting the Netflix streaming service until sometime next summer, but actress Natalia Dyer, who plays Nancy Wheeler on the series, has another genre project coming out in just a month and a half. That project is director Batan Silva's AFTER DARKNESS, a sci-fi thriller about
a family’s fight to survive a solar disaster. As skies darken and hopes grow dim, the Beatys try to stay sane in a lavish home with every possible comfort… except sunshine. Raymond plans to have his family transported to a secure underground bunker. But as he makes a gruesome discovery, the greatest threat to the Beatys’ survival may be near — or inside — their home.
Dyer's co-stars include Kyra Sedgwick, Tim Daly, John Patrick Amedori, and Valorie Curry.
Featuring unexpected (possibly SPOILERy) character twists and an even more unexpected Chris Isaak cover song, the trailer for AFTER DARKNESS can be seen below.
I'm not sure about this one. While I like the idea of a family struggling to survive during a solar disaster, the trailer doesn't get me hyped… Check it out below and see what you think.
Lionsgate is giving AFTER DARKNESS a DVD, Digital, and On Demand release on January 15th.
