You’ve got to hand it to DYLAN DOG: DEAD OF NIGHT. It never gave up. Even when it seemed like it was destined to become an afterthought/straight-to-DVD release, the thing kept pushing and pushing for life on the big screen. And it will get it here in North America, on APRIL 29th. Sure, that’s also when the inevitable-hit FAST FIVE is being released, and it’s one week before THOR will clobber it to bits, but hey, it’s better than laying down and dying, right?
The Kevin Munroe-directed film has just gotten a spiffy new trailer and poster, both of which you can check out below. Surprisingly appealing, it sort of looks like HELLBOY, only instead of Hellboy, you’ve got… Brandon Routh.
DYLAN DOG is a new horror/comedy film based on one of the world’s most popular comics (60 million copies worldwide). Brandon Routh stars as Dylan Dog, world famous private investigator specializing in affairs of the undead. His PI business card reads “No Pulse? No Problem.” Armed with an edgy wit and carrying an arsenal of silver and wood-tipped bullets, Dylan must track down a dangerous artifact before a war ensues between his werewolf, vampire and zombie clients living undercover in the monster infested backstreets of New Orleans.
