Early teaser art and synopsis for giant alien arachnid flick Mega Spider

Epic Pictures Group is currently in a pre-production on a giant arachnid flick called MEGA SPIDER. Cast and crew have not net been revealed, but you can take a peak at the early teaser art to the right. Here is the synopsis:

A 50 feet tall alien spider escapes from a military lab and rampage the city of Detroit. When a massive military strike fails, it is up to a team of scientists and one clever exterminator to kill the creature before the city is destroyed.

Details are scarce otherwise, but the creature feature promises a spider that is “60 stories tall and very hungry.” Sounds like the type of cheesy movie that will go direct to Syfy – and I’m just fine with that! I can’t wait to see what washed up star they get to star in it. It’s due out in 2012.
