Ebert’s Top 10

JoBloJoBlo

It’s that time of year where we’re getting everyone’s Top Ten of the year lists, and so naturally, I asked the big guy, JoBlo when he was gonna grace us with his list. Unfortunately, he told me “Yeah, I won’t be able to post one myself this year, but this dude is pretty good as well.” And then sent me HERE (apparently, time is limited now, with his being Salma Hayek’s thing on the side six days a week). And in case you had doubts as to Ebert’s awesomeness, by hitting up that link, you will see that he has a website with one of those classy side-on pictures that says I am the Michael Jordan of movie reviewing, bitch. So it’s, you know, confirmed.

If you’re too lazy to read a big fat bunch of words, or are being chased by a crazed killer and have only the chance to glance at the computer screen, then here it is for you, broken down, like:

1. JUNO
2. NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN
3. BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU’RE DEAD
4. ATONEMENT
5. THE KITE RUNNER
6. AWAY FROM HER
7. ACROSS THE UNIVERSE
8. LA VIE EN ROSE
9. THE GREAT DEBATERS
10. INTO THE WILD

I am thinking of demoting Roger Ebert to the Scottie Pippen of movie reviewing, for not listing THERE WILL BE BLOOD. Daniel Day-Lewis! If you list GHOST RIDER in your Top Ten, then you are officially the Yinka Dare of movie reviewing.
