Eckhart talks Two-Face

Aaron Eckhart was recently chosen to breathe life to coin flipping, split personality Batman archnemesis criminal mastermind Harvey “Two Face” Dent in Chris Nolan’s upcoming THE DARK KNIGHT so, naturally, from now until the film’s release, any journalist worth his or her stones will at least make a cursory effort to milk him of any details that’ll have an enraged studio executive bark “listen here, pretty boy, I know ‘thinking’ isn’t your strong suit but I don’t pay you to derail a multi-million dollar goddamn franchise! The next time you go running your mouth off like Barbara fucking Walters, you’ll be doing street theater in Norway for the rest of your goddamn life!”

He recently spoke to MTV about the role and had this to say on his approach to the character: “Batman is a complex character, and Two-Face comes a little bit from the same world. But [at the same time] he’s apart from it. I’m looking for the tension between the two, the similarities between the two. I want to find what’s similar to Batman and then find what’s opposite to him.”

As for the big question: Will he actually become Two Face in the film or will he remain the happy-go-lucky DA friend of the Caped Crusader? Well, you’ll have to click HERE to find out. THE DARK KNIGHT opens July 18th, 2008.
