Don’t get too excited… Robert Pattinson and the rest of the Cullen family are on board for the long haul, as is Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. The character being re-cast is a minor character compared to those but a character who’s around for the first three novels none-the-less. I’m talking about baddie vampire Victoria. In TWILIGHT and the upcoming NEW MOON the character of Victoria was played by Rachelle Lefevre (above). Thanks to ‘scheduling conflicts’ Lefevre won’t be able to reprise her role as the red-headed vamp. Those conflicts are because of Lefevre being cast in the film BARNEY’S VISION. Instead she’ll be passing the torch to fellow red-head Bryce Dallas Howard. Well I think it’s safe to say we didn’t see that one coming.
So is this a big deal? Does it matter at all? Do you think Dallas Howard could be a bigger draw than Lefevre or do you think the TWILIGHT fans will riot? Chris Weitz’s NEW MOON hits theaters November 20th with David Slade’s ECLIPSE set to hit next Summer on June 30th.
