Netflix has released a red band trailer for its upcoming comedy COFFEE & KAREEM that's got more curse words than what you'd hear if Andrew Dice Clay were to fall down a flight of stairs.Directed by GOON helmer Michael Dowse, and written by Shane Mack, the film stars Ed Helms (TAG, THE HANGOVER) as police officer James Coffee whose new relationship hits a bump in the road when Vanessa (Taraji P. Henson), the woman he's dating, encourages James to strengthen his bond with her street-smart and foul-mouthed son Kareem (Terrance Little Gardenhigh). During one of the duo's ill-approached hang seshes, James and Kareem both witness a drug deal gone wrong, thereby forcing the mismatched pair to go on the run if they don't want to end up with a bullet in their respective asses.
The world could certainly use a good laugh right about now, and while the trailer for COFFEE & KAREEM relies heavily on buddy comedy tropes that are a bit played in this day and age, it's possible that the movie will arrive as a laugh-out-loud comedy thanks to its more-than-admirable comedic star power.
Furthermore, in addition to today's expletive-laden trailer, Netflix also debuted a series of '80s-inspired posters for the upcoming comedy that harken back to some of our favorite buddy action comedies of all time. You can check out each of the posters below.

While police officer James Coffee (Ed Helms) enjoys his new relationship with Vanessa Manning (Taraji P. Henson), her beloved 12-year-old son Kareem (Terrence Little Gardenhigh) plots their break-up. Attempting to scare away his mom’s boyfriend for good, Kareem tries to hire criminal fugitives to take him out but accidentally exposes a secret network of criminal activity, making his family its latest target. To protect Vanessa, Kareem teams up with Coffee – the partner he never wanted – for a dangerous chase across Detroit.
