Efron does thriller

I’ve been making jokes and setting up ridiculous scenarios for myself when thinking about the worse thing a horror flick could do right now is feature Zac Efron as the lead. And now my joke is turning into a nightmare, as it looks like that may be the case afterall.

According to Variety, Efron has signed on to do an unnamed super-secret thriller for Mandate Pictures, from a script by Leslie Dixon. Dixon wrote Efron’s HAIRSPRAY, so I can only imagine the horror we’ll have to sit through with this thing…

Nothing is being revealed at this point as it could end up being an action thriller, or possibly a suspense thriller, or (dare I say?) a chiller thriller or even a (gasp!) horror thriller. We don’t know but it looks like he’ll be deviating from his clean image with something a little more… thrilling. May not be up our alley, but it might!
