E.L. Katz’s Zombie Pet Shop opening as 3D animated feature

The Animation Picture Company has acquired E.L. Katz’s script for ZOMBIE PET SHOP. The film will be produced as a 3D animated feature. Katz co-wrote the After Dark Horrorfest title AUTOPSY and had a hand in the upcoming DIBBUK BOX. Here is the plot:

ZOMBIE PET SHOP concerns a mysterious plague that sweeps through a mall pet shop, turning all of the animals into zombies. An ordinary pug named Joey must come to the rescue to find the antidote that will save his four-legged friends, as well as the humans that might take them home.

Jeremy Platt, who developed the project with Katz, is co-producing along with The Animation Picture Company’s John Davis, Brian Manis, Ash Shah, Dan Chuba and Mark Dippe. Platt has produced some of Rob Zombie’s films, including on his animated effort, THE HAUNTED WORLD OF EL SUPERBEASTO.
