Elliott’s Caretaker

Not too long ago we had a peak at some artwork for the Nicolas Cage superhero movie GHOST RIDER, and while it certainly looks good, the fact that the studio pushed it back from a summer release to a Presidents Day release doesn’t keep our confidence up.

Sam Elliott talked with The L.A. Daily News regarding RIDER, and actually went into his role in the film a little bit. Here’s what he had to say:”[I play] a guy named Caretaker who takes care of the cemetery. Ghost Rider comes there seeking solace and safety, and I provide him with information.”

Couldn’t see Elliott in a better role than the cemetary sidekick in a movie like this. He also talked about how well a job Cage does, and if they do decide to do a sequel, you’ll see his ass back in a flash to reprise his role. Hey, I’ve loved that dude ever since ROAD HOUSE and THE BIG LEBOWSKI, I’d say it only makes the film that much better if Elliott’s in it. We’ll see. GHOST RIDER, co-starring Wes Bentley and Eva Mendes hit theaters February 2007.
