The Bloody-Disgusting boys posted a nice interview with SNAKES ON A PLANE helmer David R. Ellis. He talks about what was added to bump the rating up to an R, along with some discussion of practical vs. CGI effects, and other various items of interest. Here’s a taste:
“The deaths are more violent and graphic. There is nudity – a couple trying to join the Mile-High Club – and the language is more explicit. Actually, Bob Shaye, the president of New Line, was the one who green-lighted the additions.”
A studio president who wants a harder rating? Isn’t that one of the signs of the apocalypse? Click here for the rest of the interview, and everyone should remember to add Bob Shaye to their Christmas card list.
