Ellis pushes Humpty

David R. Ellis is becoming quite the regular in our beloved genre. After he made his directorial debut with HOMEWARD BOUND 2 he gained our respect with FINAL DESTINATION 2. He lost it when SNAKES ON A PLANE hit theaters… kidding… sort of. Then he made that direct-to-DVD flick ASYLUM and is set to bring us FINAL DESTINATION: DEATH TRIP 3D this Summer. So what’s after that? Well HUMPTY DUMPTY of course!

I’m not talking about the HUMPTY DUMPTY we all grew up with… this one is of the homicidal alien variety. Oh I kid you not folks. The flick is about a half-human, half-alien creature who embarks on a murderous rampage after his alien mother is abused by two rednecks in the Deep South.

I’m assuming HUMPTY DUMPTY is referring to the creature’s appearence. Billy Majestic is penning the script with Ellis directing. iDream’s Suzanne de Passe and Madison Jones join Amber Entertainment’s Mark Ordesky and Instinctive Film’s Darry Welch on producing duties with Fabienne Villette co-producing. Intandem Films are executive producing and handling worldwide sales. HUMPTY DUMPTY is set to start production this September. Oh and did I mention it’s going to be in 3-D? Because it is.

That’s right, a 3-D flick with an alien-like creature that looks like Humpty Dumpty going around killing rednecks. I can’t imagine anything better! No word on any casting yet so be sure to keep it here for updates as we hear them.
