The date in question is: April 27th. Principal photography will start on April 27th in Chicago. So two months away huh? That leaves plenty of time for Platinum Dunes to get the cast all lined up! Both Lindsay Lohan and Billy Bob Thornton have been rumored to be attached but both have been shot down. No actual casting news has been released yet… but the guys over at Blood Disgusting do have a look at the casting call! And one of the names is quite interesting:
[FREDDY KRUEGER] (40s) The fedora-wearing villain of children’s nightmares. He’’s taunting and vindictive. He’s the last person you want to see in your dreams…
So could that mean Krueger is nowhere near being cast yet? I highly doubt it. The rest of the casting call consists of a bunch of 18 year old teenagers. Just head right over here to check that out. We should be up to our necks in everything and anything Krueger for most of the summer, so get ready!
