Emily VanCamp will return as Agent 13 in Captain America: Civil War

Just when you thought that they couldn't possibly add one more character to the over-flowing cast of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR…they do. Per Deadline, Emily VanCamp will be reprising her role of Agent 13/Sharon Carter from CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. Emily VanCamp didn't exactly have a lot to do in THE WINTER SOLDIER but I have hopes she'll be put to much better use in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR.

The specifics of her storyline in CIVIL WAR are being kept under wraps at the moment, but those who are familiar with the Civil War storyline from the comics may get a clue as the direction Marvel could take the character. VanCamp will join Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johannson, Anthony Mackie, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Daniel Bruhl, Frank Grillo, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Elizabeth Olsen, and Martin Freeman in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. That's one loaded cast.

It was recently announced that ABC's Revenge, which stars Emily VanCamp, had unfortunately ended up on the cancellation block; the show's final episode will air this Sunday but with Emily VanCamp's return as Agent 13, it's nice to know that she won't be absent from our screens for long. CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR entered production a week ago under the direction of Anthony and Joe Russo, who also helmed CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER and are set to take on both parts of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR opens on May 6, 2016.
