Emma Greenwell signs on for Burr Steers’ Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Yesterday we brought you the news that British actor Douglas Booth (NOAH) had joined the growing cast of the Burr Steers-helmed adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, and today we've learned that the cast continues to grow as "Shameless" actress Emma Greenwell has signed on to the project.

Variety is reporting that Emma Greenwell will be joining the previously announced Booth, Lily James, Sam Riley, Bella Heathcote and Jack Huston in the period zombie pic. Greenwell is set to play the sister of Booth's character, Bingley.

Adapted from Seth Grahame-Smith’s parody novel, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES…

…opens as a mysterious plague has fallen upon the quiet English village of Meryton-and the dead are returning to life! Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is determined to wipe out the zombie menace, but she’s soon distracted by the arrival of the haughty and arrogant Mr. Darcy. What ensues is a delightful comedy of manners with plenty of civilized sparring between the two young lovers-and even more violent sparring on the blood-soaked battlefield as Elizabeth wages war against hordes of flesh-eating undead."

Scripted by Steers and David O. Russell, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES will be produced by Natalie Portman, Marc Butan, Sean McKittrick, Brian Oliver, Annette Savitch, Allison Shearmur and Tyler Thompson.
