Emma Roberts returns for AHS Murder House/Coven crossover?

I haven't been the world's biggest fan of Ryan Murphy's horror series AMERICAN HORROR STORY. I mean I loved the first season (MURDER HOUSE) and found the third (COVEN), fourth (FREAKSHOW) and seventh (CULT) to be entertaining, but mostly I stay away from the show. That said, I'm really looking forward to the recently confirmed eighth season which will be a crossover of season one's MURDER HOUSE and season three's COVEN (so far).

But will this new series see the return of the classic characters from the original seasons? No telling just yet, but we do know that actress Emma Roberts was on Instagram the other day teasing her return to AHS: COVEN land as Madison Montgomery the witch-bitch supreme.

You can check out her post below.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN takes place in 2013, in New Orleans, and follows a Coven of Salem witches as they fight for survival. Cast members included Sarah Paulson, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Denis O’Hare, Jessica Lange, Jamie Brewer, Alexandra Breckenridge, and Robin Bartlett, along with Emma Roberts and Kathy Bates. The third season of this horror anthology series is:

Set primarily at a secret school for witches in New Orleans. After an absence in Season 2, Taissa Farmiga returns to the show as Zoe Benson, a young woman who unexpectedly discovers that she possesses a dangerous supernatural ability. She's sent to the special Louisiana school — which is run by Headmistress Cordelia Foxx (Sarah Paulson) where she embarks on spell-filled adventures with fellow witches Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts), Nan (Jamie Brewer) and Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe). Jessica Lange is also back as Fiona Goode, a powerful witch chasing eternal life, while Evan Peters plays frat boy Kyle Spencer in his return. Other familiar faces include Denis O'Hare and Lily Rabe, while newcomers Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett bring fresh excitement to the talented cast.

The third season snagged seventeen Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Miniseries and acting nominations for Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, and Kathy Bates. Lange and Bates won awards for their acting. Again, there is word that Paulson, Bates, and now Roberts will return for the crossover, but we'll keep you up-to-date as others (re)join this new season. Stay tuned!
