Englund on more Freddy

Bloody-Disgusting had a chance to sit down and talk with Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund, about his upcoming movie BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON at this year’s SXSW Film Fest in Austin, TX. But they got a whole lot more out of it than just that! He dished the skinny on the next Freddy film, as well as the ill-lived reality show that never aired!


Since FREDDY VS JASON kicked all of our asses back in 2003, we’ve been waiting for them to make another one- either a FREDDY VS JASON 2, or better yet, FREDDY VS MICHAEL MYERS VS JASON- but did we ever think it would actually happened (with Myers coming into their supernatural universe)? Well hold on to your butts, cause from what England says, we’re closer to seeing the reality on that than we thought!

New Line is committed to making at least one more Freddy movie. They have commissioned both a prequel and “Freddy vs. Jason vs. Michael Myers”. No word on which one they will actually make or when.


Prequel, sequel or another move in the franchise- either way, color my ass excited! Course, the prequel could be this talk of another FRIDAY film coming out this October, which would make more sense than a prequel for FvJ. Been there, done that- give us some new action!!!
