Alright amateur film makers, here’s your chance
to dig out that little masterpiece you’ve been working on in your parents
basement for the last 6 months and show it to the world. Well not the world per
se, but to some people in L.A. at least.
If you click here
you can head to the official website of SHRIEKFEST 2007, the horror/sci-fi film
competition being held in L.A. from September 28th to October 7th.
The competition accepts films, shorts, documentaries and screenplays based on
the horror/sci-fi genre, and even includes a category for filmmakers who are
under 18. So this is some horror fun that the whole family can enjoy!
Submissions are being accepted up until the 21st of May, but there is a late
registration deadline of June 23. The competition will offer cash prizes, awards
and trophies, and everyone who enters the competition will be interviewed by
Cult Cuts magazine.
This is a pretty great opportunity for those people who like to make films on
the side and would love to be able to showcase them to a small audience with a
love of the genre. So click
here to head over to the SHRIEKFEST 2007
website and get involved with the competition.
