IMDB has revealed the full (up to now) cast list for John Landis’ horror-comedy BURKE AND HARE. Unlike many IMDB claims, this has been confirmed as a pretty spot-on list – by Simon Pegg himself (via his Twitter page). The only piece of misinformation? John Cleese , whom Pegg says is not involved.
Who is? Some proper respectable Brits! Alongside the already announced Pegg, Andy Serkis, Isla Fisher, and Tom Wilkinson are Reece Shearsmith (THE COTTAGE), Hugh Bonneville, Allan Corduner, Georgia King, Bill Bailey – and most awesomely, Stephen Merchant and Jessica Hynes . Merchant is Ricky Gervais’ co-star/writer/director on everything, and Hynes was Pegg’s co-star/writer on “Spaced”! That’s right, Daisy herself will appear along side Pegg once again. Cracking good! (Pegg also promises “a few surprises to come”.)
The dark comedy, about two 19th century grave robbers who find a lucrative business providing cadavers for an Edinburgh medical school, is currently shooting in Englund. No release date has yet been announced.
