Ethan & Maya Hawke to star in The Beatles-fueled comedy Revolver

It's always fun to see acting families team up on the big-screen, and Variety has reported that Ethan Hawke and Maya Hawke will be starring in REVOLVER, a romantic coming-of-age comedy that's fueled by The Beatles in a big way.

REVOLVER will be set in 1966 as it follows Jane (Maya Hawke), a teen resident of Anchorage, Alaska who is thrilled with a flight to Japan carrying The Beatles is forced to make an unexpected stop. "All hell breaks loose as the unsuspecting residents are consumed by Beatlemania," reads the logline. "Jane devises a plan to lose her virginity to George Harrison, discovering that adventure (and romance) are actually a little closer to home than she thought." Andrew Stanton (FINDING DORY) is slated to hem REVOLVER, which will be his first live-action film since JOHN CARTER back in 2012. Kate Trefry (Stranger Things) is slated to pen the script.

Maya Hawke was recently seen in the third season of Netflix's Stranger Things, while Ethan Hawke is currently starring in The Good Lord Bird for Showtime, a limited-series that he also co-wrote and executive produced. The series debuted earlier this month and The series is largely told from the point of view of Onion (Joshua Caleb Johnson-Lionel), a young boy who becomes a part of John Brown's (Ethan Hawke) motley crew of abolitionist soldiers, eventually going on to participate in the raid on the Army depot at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, an event which was a catalyst for the American Civil War.
