We’re seeing and hearing a lot from Tarsem’s IMMORTALS nowadays. A new slew of character posters hit just last week, as did the news that the film will be a significant presence at this July’s San Diego Comic Con. Today we bear witness to a brand new trailer for the Relativity release, and it’s not too dissimilar from the first preview that was unveiled back in April.
To me, the movie still basically appears to be 300: The Sequel, with a touch of CLASH OF THE TITANS thrown in for good measure. That’s not to say it doesn’t look entertaining; Tarsem can whip up some splendid, eye-catching visuals, there’s no doubt about that, and the cast (led by future Superman Henry Cavill) looks solid. But there’s certainly an atmosphere of “been there, done that” wafting over the proceedings…
The film, which also stars Mickey Rourke, Stephen Dorff, Isabel Lucas, Luke Evans and Frieda Pinto, opens on NOVEMBER 11th. Will you be in attendance?
