Ex. Allison Williams, Logan Browning & Richard Shepard talk The Perfection!

There’s been a lot of talk about not spoiling your favorite movie or TV show lately, especially when it comes to social media. Well speaking of spoiling, there is a new film on Netflix that you will not want to be spoiled in any way. THE PERFECTION is a brutal, thought-provoking and deeply disturbing thriller starring Allison Williams (GET OUT), Logan Browning (Dear White People) and Steven Weber. Directed by Richard Shepard (THE MATADOR, DOM HEMINGWAY), this stunning feature explores the relationship between two cellist, and it gets really f*cking dark. What's really interesting is seeing all the comments on the trailer as to what this film is actually about… hint, those guessing the plot from the trailer are pretty much wrong.

This is so secretive, I wanted to be very careful when talking to the amazing talent involved. Thankfully, both Allison and Logan were very aware of just how much to give away. The two discussed reading the script for the first time when Allison made an attempt to figure out where this was going but couldn’t. The two also talked about working together and finding the right balance in their on-screen relationship – which is fantastic – and learning how to play the cello.

As for the film’s director, Richard Shepard opened up about an experience that helped inspire this wonderfully twisted new feature. He also talked about the influence of early Brian DePalma, and of course working with such talented actors like Logan and Allison. Not only am I a big fan of this flick, this fine group made me want to watch it once again. This is the kind of feature that will have you guessing until the very end. Even the trailer manages to give things away, without actually giving anything away. THE PERFECTION is currently playing on Netflix, and it’s well worth a watch or two or more.
