Excl: Harris on NOTLD

While on the set of STAKE LAND, I got a chance to ask Danielle Harris about the status of the much talked about 3D project NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: ORIGINS. While time was short and I didn’t get all that much out of her, she did chat a little about what we can expect (or not expect) from the flick.

“It’s just voice work, it’s CGI 3D animated, and Simon West is producing it… It’s a really cool, interesting idea, and obviously to come back as an iconic character – Annie in HALLOWEEN and now to be Barbara – it’s pretty awesome.”

When asked if she’s seen what the animated version of her looks like, Harris admitted she had not. “I’m not doing any of the CGI parts of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD… I’m not even sure if it’s going to look like me; it might be a cross between me and the original Barbara, kind of a morph of both of us. But it’s… heavy. The script is heavy, I was actually surprised by how intense it was.”

She also went on to confirm what we’d heard rumblings about regarding her co-stars: “It’s a prequel, it’s current times, it takes place in New York City, and it’s pretty insane. It’s mostly scenes with Mos Def and I – I’ve never met him, it’s his voice, you know. He’s playing Ben. And Bill Moseley, you know he and I have done like four things together. Can’t get rid of that guy!”

I’ll have much more from the set of STAKE LAND soon, so stay tuned right here!
