It’s that time of the month

RED HOT PLANET
just gunned out a slew of
Exclusive Pics of bombshell
Melinda Jo Clevenger
our way and here they are for your gawking pleasure.
A little bit about
Melinda Jo: She’s a popular PA model and will be playing the central
character of Sophie in a horror/fantasy comic book. The franchise
involves a hottie who is literally “good enough to eat”; Melinda Jo (as
Sophie) is pursued by non-human predators (hungry aliens, carnivorous fishmen etc.) who are determined to transform her into a personal
banquet (she’s almost roasted in an oven and nearly brewed in a witch’s
pot). The initial issue of Deep Navel will debut in March, 2008. Who are
Melinda Jo’s favorite animated characters?
“Probably Tinker Bell, she shows the damage a ‘woman scorned’ can do.
Then there’s Meg from HERCULES, I love her sarcasm. And Jessica
Rabbit…oooozes sexiness!”
The actress is also
extremely fond of horror flicks…
“My
favorite icon is Elvira. I love the campy sexiness and humor she brought
back to the genre. I think we are in need of that type of presence
again. Hopefully, I can be instrumental in making that happen.
Hmmm…the wheels in my head are turning now! I’d really like to see
more female heavies…think of the bad girls in THE CRAFT. We need
scripts with multiple women’s roles to show the many different sides of
the female persona…strong/weak, sexy/homely, brainy/ditsy. Personally,
I like Kate Beckinsale quite a lot. She can be beautiful, tough, deadly
and vulnerable. And I was very impressed with Kirsten Dunst’s haunting
performance in INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE…just amazing.
“I
love films based on legend, witchcraft, religion,
experiments-gone-wrong…stuff that makes you believe it could really
happen. I love Dean Koontz for exactly that reason…he makes you
believe. But, unfortunately, his books have not yet translated well into
film. In addition to THE CRAFT and INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE, my favorite
genre films include SIN CITY, ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, THE EXORCISM OF
EMILY ROSE, THE RAGE: CARRIE 2, THE HAUNTING (1999) and THE AMITYVILLE
HORROR (the original and the remake). But the scariest of all time has
to be JAWS…the music is the real clincher.”
