We haven’t heard from the down-and-dirty, strippers-&-surgeon horror PENANCE in quite some time. And that is unacceptable! So here’s some long overdue new info.
We’ll start off with the latest, exclusive pic from the film up top. I’ve gotta say, I would not be very pleased if that was my doctor hovering above me. That evil-faced doc is being played by Graham McTavish and the unfortunate patient below him is none other than Ms. Tracy Coogan. I think she’s in for some bad news regarding her prognosis.
However, for some good news, PENANCE will be screening at Fangoria’s Midnite Madness on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills. Plus, attending the screening will be the flick’s stars, Michael Rooker, Ms. Coogan, Alice Amter, and writer/director, Jake Kennedy. For more info, call (310) 360-0455.
The ideal plot for PENANCE plays like this: A young mother decides to become an exotic dancer to earn some fast cash, but winds up getting abducted and tortured by a sadistic surgeon.
