I worshiped 2001′
DONNIE DARKO (read my review here) when I first saw it and never stopped bowing
down to its greatness ever since. So when I heard of a sequel, straight to
DVD no less, with original director RICHARD KELLY nowhere in sight, my hopes of it
matching the first one went down the shitter.
But my tune has somewhat changed since I saw the
TRAILER for this sequel. Not that it looks
like a hands down masterpiece, but it could be something. So in light of the film’s
DVD release on May 12, 2009 (get the DVD here),
