Sam Riley has given a number of impressive performances in his career including his work in ON THE ROAD and CONTROL. Most of his experience has been in smaller independent films, yet somehow the actor appears right at home in the magical world of Walt Disney’s SLEEPING BEAUTY inspired MALECIFENT. In the film he portrays a bird given the ability to change forms, thanks to Angelina Jolie. The two have an impressive on-screen connection as he helps give what is ironically a “human” side to the story..

When I sat down with the actor we discussed his earlier work and how it led him to this. We talked about MALEFICENT and working with a very different kind of project. It was a nice experience to chat with Sam about the film. If you would like to see this talented fellow turn into a bird, a wolf and other animals that I won’t mention yet, you should check Mr. Riley out in the latest film from director Robert Stromberg. MALEFICENT opens this Friday at a theatre near you.
