Exclusive 1:1 Interview: Natalie Dormer talks The Hunger Games: Mockingjay

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Most of you know Natalie Dormer best as the beautiful, pleasant (if also duplicitous and ambitious) Margaery Tyrell on "Game of Thrones," or perhaps as the doomed Anne Boleyn in "The Tudors." But she is a long way from luxury in THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – Part 1, in which she plays a tough-as-nails member of the rebellion against the capitol. Dormer's "Cressida" is tasked with not only being a bodyguard to Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), but she's also in charge of making Katniss into the ultimate symbol of the resistance. Hence, she acts as a director of propaganda material that will ultimately be vital to turning the tide against the evil President Snow (Donald Sutherland).

I sat down with the lovely Ms. Dormer and talked about the character's now-famous hairstyle, spending nine months by Jennifer Lawrence's side and the phenomenon that is THE HUNGER GAMES.
