I first came to the attention of ELEKTRA LUXX at last year’s SXSW when I was all set to see the film. Sadly projection issues caused the screening to be canceled about halfway through and I still haven’t had a chance to finish what I started. I’ll get another chance when the film, which stars Carla Gugino, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Malin Akerman and Timothy Olyphant, opens in theaters on March 11 (coincidentally the day this year’s SXSW kicks off in Austin, TX). Today we’re excited to share an exclusive first look at the film’s poster for you!

In the film, Gugino stars as Elektra Luxx, a former porn star looking to turn her life around as a sex ed teacher. If you’ve seen enough movies you know that breaking off clean from an old life isn’t always as easy as you think and soon enough Elektra is roped back into a strange set of circumstances that involves detectives, sex bloggers, emotionally unstable neighbors and the Virgin Mary.

Take a look at the poster below (which you can click to see in hi-res) and below that I’ve embedded the trailer for your viewing pleasure (good luck taking a look at the screenshot and not watching).
