Exclusive Interview: Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace talk Taken 3!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

While the TAKEN series has certainly hung its hat on the presence of Liam Neeson and his take-no-shit alter ego Bryan Mills, it’s the women in Mills’ life we have to thank for all the action. After all, they’re the ones who are constantly finding themselves terrorized by international criminals, which in turn prompts Bryan to go on his patented bad guy-murder sprees. TAKEN 3 differs, however, in that neither daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) or ex-wife Lenore (Famke Janssen) are kidnapped; instead, Lenore is murdered and Bryan is framed for the crime. Bryan must outwit the authorities and bring the evildoers to justice in order to clear his name… and maybe finally find some peace with his little girl.

I spoke with the lovely ladies of TAKEN 3 recently about the startling longevity of the franchise, Famke’s bittersweet early exit from the film and whether or not Maggie Grace is ready to take over “the family business.”
