Extended Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker clip introduces us to Babu Frik

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER has been in theaters for close to a month and recently passed $1 billion worldwide, but as we're still a ways off from enjoying the film in our own homes, not to mention the inevitable frame-by-frame dissection, we'll have to make due with whichever clips Disney throws our way. The studio has released an extended clip from THE RISE OF SKYWALKER which introduces us to Babu Frik (Shirley Henderson), the tiny droidsmith who works among the Spice Runners of Kijimi. It also features a rather poignant moment from C-3PO (Anthony Daniels), which was one of the highlights of the film for me, even though they wind up treating it as a joke.

Speaking of enjoying STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER in our own homes, the film is set to be included in a massive 27-disc 4K Ultra HD box-set, which will include all nine-films in the Skywalker Saga, including THE PHANTOM MENACE, ATTACK OF THE CLONES, REVENGE OF THE SITH, A NEW HOPE, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, RETURN OF THE JEDI, THE FORCE AWAKENS, THE LAST JEDI, and THE RISE OF SKYWALKER. There's no official release date at the moment, but previous reports had listed a March 31, 2020 release.

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER is now playing in theaters, so be sure to check out a review from our own Matt Rooney and let us know what you thought of the film as well!
