Extended TV spot for Thor: The Dark World reveals new footage and name-drops The Avengers

An extended TV spot for THOR: THE DARK WORLD debuted during last night's premiere of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC (you can check out our review of the episode here), and it contains some new footage from the upcoming film. The spot also has Thor (Chris Hemsworth) explaining to Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) why he didn't stop by and say hello the last time he was on Earth in THE AVENGERS. Does she really need to nag at him like the girlfriend who gets annoyed when her significant other spends too much time with his friends? The dude was on a business trip, it's not like he was here on vacation.

The little bit of action in the spot that we haven't seen in the previous trailers looks great. Love the scene at the end with the cars falling from the sky. THOR: THE DARK WORLD should be an entertaining and exciting film, and like many of you I'm counting down the days until it hits theaters.

THOR: THE DARK WORLD also stars Tom Hiddleston, Christopher Eccleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi and Stellan Skarsgard, and will be in theaters on November 8th, 2013.
