Eye opens again

Jessica Alba is a goddess, isn’t she? The woman is flawless. I just wish she’d do more genre films. I don’t know about you, but I loved IDLE HANDS, which is still one of my favorite Alba movies. Anyway, the news I have today is on the Jessica Alba starring film, THE EYE. This one has been in production for a good amount of time already, and there’s still a lot to do it seems.

Fangoria is reporting that THE EYE will be subject too two weeks of reshoots with someone different running the show. Originally the film was helmed by David Moreau and Xavier Palud (ILS/THEM), but now Lionsgate has Patrick Lussier (DRACULE 2000 films, WHITE NOISE: THE LIGHT) taking control. I don’t know if this is good or bad, either way we get to see Jessica Alba, so I guess it’s win win?

THE EYE of course is one of the last of the whole ‘Japanese remake’ craze, and doesn’t look to be half bad. It’s about a woman who starts seeing some messed up stuff from the supernatural world after an eye transplant. It stars Jessica Alba (above and below), Parker Posey, Alessandro Nivola, and Rachel Ticotin. Right now it’s slated for a February 1, 2008 release.
