Hulk Hogan tried it, but failed by doing shit like SUBURBAN COMMANDO, while The Rock is steadily making his way as the-next-action-hero with THE RUNDOWN and WALKING TALL- now WWE RAW’s Kane is taking a stab at becoming the next wrestling-turned-actor in Lions Gate Films’ EYE SCREAM MAN, which started filming last week in Australia. Fangoria reports that the film is being directed by porno and music video director Gregory Dark, and executive produced by our man in the WWE Vince McMahon and Joel Simon.
Since I think wrestling is a big fat joke with bad acting, I can’t say that I’m looking forward to this one, but I must say that while I didn’t like him at first, The Rock has done quite the job at winning me over- so Kane could be awesome- or he could be horrible. Simon describes Kane as “the classic bad guy, the classic monster. We’re planning to create a villain franchise in the vein of Jason, Freddy and Pinhead.” I don’t know if I’d classify Pinhead with Freddy and Jason, but ok… If nothing else, it could be entertaining- somehow SHOCKER comes to mind when thinking about this one. No word yet when it’s set to be released.
