Ezra Miller hopes Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays Batman in Flashpoint

In Flashpoint, Barry Allen awakens in an altered DC universe to find that he's the only one aware of some fairly significant differences between the regular timeline and this altered one. One of the many changes is the reveal that Thomas Wayne, not Bruce Wayne, is the Batman, as it was Bruce who was killed by the gunman all those years ago. Warner Bros.' upcoming Flash-centric film FLASHPOINT is said to be based upon that 2011 event-series, and Ezra Miller recently spoke with ComicBook.com about what he would like to see in the upcoming movie, and the actor seems particularly fond of Thomas Wayne's arc.

I think that the emotional arc of the Thomas Wayne stuff in Flashpoint is one of the illest [parts]. And to see that different manifestation of Batman and his whole different style. And I love the reality that you have this universe that is so inverted from the one that we know. And this one factor remains the same, but in this flipped way. Batman is steady, but it's going to be the result of a different side of the same tragedy with Thomas Wayne instead of Bruce, and that's dope.

As for who would play the Thomas Wayne-incarnation of Batman, it's possible that you, like myself, got excited about the thought of Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing the character before remembering that he's already played Thomas Wayne in the DCEU. Jeffrey Dean Morgan played the role in a brief appearance in Zack Snyder's BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, with Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead) playing Martha Wayne, so the stage is already set for Morgan to reprise the role in FLASHPOINT. As for Ezra Miller, he's quite enthusiastic about the idea.

Oh, hell yeah. I think he's amazing. And I think he would fall right into what is becoming a very, very serious ensemble of actors. I'm so excited about Kiersey Clemons. I'm so excited about Billy Crudup. I just couldn't be more stoked about the names involved so far.

Ezra Miller, along with Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, and Henry Cavill, will unite to save the world in JUSTICE LEAGUE on November 17th, which is now less than two weeks away.

What do you folks think? Would you be pleased to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan return and play Batman in FLASHPOINT?
