F13 3 in 3D on DVD

Last week came the announcement that Paramount Pictures would be releasing FRIDAY THE 13TH in an Unrated Deluxe Edition DVD, as well as FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2 and FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3 (the later two deluxe, but not unrated). We knew the specs for PART 1 and 2, but PART 3 has been a mystery (check it out HERE), and in some ways it still is, but we have the dirt as to whether PART 3 will be in 3D or not… and the answer is YES, my friends, it will!

According to Amazon, PART 3, scheduled to be released on February 3rd just like the other two films, will be sold with 4 Pairs of 3-D Glasses. I shit you not–check it out for yourself by heading THIS WAY.

No specific specs have been released, nor has the cover art, but the answer to the question as to whether PART 3 will be released in 3D the way it was meant to be seen has been answered. This may be the happiest day of my life. Seriously, I’ve been waiting for years, hoping that they’d release it in 3D on DVD already, and now… it’s finally happening. And we can thank Platinum Dunes for re-imagining the franchise, as I doubt it would have happened otherwise.
